XT600e rear wheel
Will a rear wheel from an XT660 fit straight on an XT600?
I have looked at the other posts but can't find an answer to this. I know clever people can make any wheel fit any bike but I need one that just slots in straight of. Thanks |
If it's the kick start XT600 , no, they have drum brakes and the 660 has disc. Not sure on the e-start 600's.

It's a 2003 so discs.

Ya, I didn't see the e in the title. It may very well fit, Yamaha tends to keep things similar if there isn't a need to change. But one little change could make it need some custom work. Biggest thing is if the 2 swingarms are the same width, if they are and you get the entire wheel assembly(cush/sprocket hub, disc, axle, and all spacers together, it probably will be a bolt in.

Yes, the old xtz660 fit the latest E model, its a direct fit.

Thanks. It's good to have you experienced guys arround.

Oh dear
Think I've misunderstood :(
I got a wheel from a 2009 XT660. The disc is 245mm held by 6 symetrically spaced srews. My XT600e is 220mm held by 3 sets of 2 screws closer together. My sprocket carrier won't fit because the central boss on the wheel sticks out further. Wheel didn't come with a sprocket carrier. Is it possible to make this wheel fit using other parts or am I wasting my time with it? |

You have a Wheel from the newer generation xt660´s. |
Yep, I realise that now. Just wanted to know if there's any escape route from my mistake.
