XT600z 1VJ 1988
Hi out there, Bought XT600z 1VJ 1988. I own it a year I want to replace the tyres, what would you recommend 70% road 30% offroad use and what size? Also the battery fluid has evaporated twice what would cause this, battery only 6months old. |
hi there if the battery is boiling dry the bike is over charging , so the regulator/rectifire will have gone faulty. sort this out as soon as possibal or the battery will be toast , to be honest it is probably going to be iffy now , if it has done this twice already .:thumbup1:

Thanks guys, ordered a voltage regulator on Ebay for 42euro (pattern part), fitted today now 12v across the battery when running. Battery is toast but I wanted to fix the over voltage before changing. It going to be kick start for a couple of days.

Dead batteries can kill regs... Dont wait too long to replace
