Firstly:welcome: to the HUBB
Sounds like some bad connections and possibly a new flasher unit.
Make sure all pushin elec connectors are clean of corrosion, it means time to check and clean. Check for bad Earth.

When I went to Mr. Yamaha in Oz for a flasher unit, they wanted $119.00AUD.
I fell over at that price and bought a car unit for $4.95. this works a treat, and if it fails in 12 months, I can buy 20 of the car units for the price of one genuine yamaha unit.:innocent:

Cheers from Oz.

Yes Bacardi,

After picking myself off the floor, the salesman said that this was old stock and been sitting for 2 years, and he could do the flasher unit (GENUINE YAMAHA) for $80.00AUD. I asked if it was gold plated, not much sense of humor in that man.

Cheers from Oz

by flasher unit do you mean the little "square" black box that has a rubber band and attaches to the side of the battery box?

(84 has batttery right? :confused1: )

If it's the part I tried to explain I bought one for 7€ two years ago..

I'm gonna check if there are any on ebay that works for you!

Thats the little ###ker

Hi Bacardi,

Yes, thats the price I was quoted for a Genuine Yamaha Flasher unit (little rectangle with rubber support) from a local dealer in Dandenong. I wont out them as their is an alternative as I found out. The car flasher unit ($4.95 at repco) is doing a fine job, so i see no reason to change as it works, I did check the amount of lights (wattage) and all that so no probs.:D

Cheers from Oz.
