yamaha xt burning ground wire
 

so while trying to start the bike the entire ground wire starts burning through the rubber housing. is there anyone that has a good wiring harness for a 3tb/3aj yamaha xt? i am extremely desperate here! help please!

Hi adrien sounds like your powerwire(+) has bypassed its load somewhere in the circut,surprised it didn't blow the fuse rather than melt a wire.check the fuse hasn't been bypassed.i have seen earth wires heat up quite badly due to resistance (corroded connections)in the starter circut when continually turning over an engine thats hard to start
