If there is a problem where is the fix? Just do it?

x5go 18 Aug 2018 17:53

I watched videos. My sound is completely different, and it's good on the spot just when I'm going to do it occasionally. This sound only drive.

Bobmech 19 Aug 2018 23:34

Sounds to me like it is maybe a noisy drive chain roller.

*Touring Ted* 20 Aug 2018 10:07

Sounds the chain roller to me too.

Tomkat 20 Aug 2018 11:35

Is it related to engine speed or road speed? If it's road speed it'll be something to do with the chain or final drive. Check the output bearing hasn't got excess play, that neither sprocket is loose, that the chain hasn't got excessive tight/loose play and the support roller, cush drive or cush drive bearing isn't shot.

And maybe consider wearing something a bit more than trainers and bare ankles when riding a bike where you suspect a transmission problem ;)

Only a slow acceleration ride is done. The new chassis kit is 2000km. But when I build a chain on 4cm and sweep the wheel then it is 2.5cm. The difference in wheel speed is + -1.5cm. The solution? Buy a new chain?

Throw some oil under that chain roller that is over the swingarm pivot , right behind the front sprocket . It's likely running dry and when worn they make one hell of a noise . If a person lubes the chain with one of the waxy type lubes or one that leaves a residue the rollers typically get lubed plus turn slower and don't rattle , but when dry and clean they try to run the same speed as the chain .

I made my own nylon rollers and made them with minimal clearance so when fresh and clean they really screamed . Some chain wax(Maxim chain wax) under it plus with my lubing the chain often it's all quiet .

And can not it be a problem in the pull chain? Can it be ascertained whether it is happening from the engine? I'm afraid of it.

xtrock 21 Aug 2018 09:58

Use a motorcycle stand for the rear and run bike, much easier to find where sound is coming from..You can also use slippers and shorts then:thumbup1::scooter::scooter:

It does not always do it at times, I've been playing this video for 30 minutes.

On Thursday, a new chain will come and I will see. If the problem is still how can I find out if it is not from the engine? There is silence on the spot and there is no sound. I started doing it when I raining on a motorcycle. Chain lubricate every 500 km.

x5go 23 Aug 2018 20:17

Today, the new chain has come and has not helped. I found out that this is 100% off the engine. During the ride, when I add, it starts to blow up in the engine, and if I add it even more makes it louder. But not always! Where could be the problem ?

x5go 24 Aug 2018 09:11

Did the oil change help me? Because when I ride while the bike is cold it is good and when the oil is warm it is probably thin. Can there be an error in this?

turboguzzi 24 Aug 2018 13:32

not easy to help you...

so the new chain didnt help? good, move on to check 2nd possibility, that's how troubleshooting works :)

so have you dismantled both chain rollers and check if they are ok?

xtrock 24 Aug 2018 14:25

How about lifting bike up and make a new video so its possible to understand what sound you have?

x5go 24 Aug 2018 15:32

The sound is definitely the engine. In place and when braking with the engine it's good, does it only when accelerating in load? Can it do that oil has not been changed or that the motorcycle is driving slowly?

turboguzzi 24 Aug 2018 18:34

very unlikely that bad old oil is slowing the bike. if oil was so bad, bike would be overheating and sounds would be different.

the problem COULD be in the engine, but as it's a lot of work to take it out, disassemble and check, best to eliminate systematically all other simpler causes.

For example, a new chain on bad sprockets will not solve a noise problem - send a picture of your sprockets, front and rear.

Same for the rollers, take them out and examine, send picture

you say you have tensioned the chain by the manual, still take a picture of the bike so we can see how it looks.

if you are asking for help, help us to help you by posting these pictures :)

Sound comes from the engine, not from the chain. And the sound is heard only when the engine is warming up. The most is to hear it when I go up the hill and add gas when it's the most to hear. It's such a hollow sound.

x5go 28 Aug 2018 13:51

So oil changed and it still does it. Someone released me just has not got whatsoever. Everything I've looked at is not released, but if I fall and I can hear the sound like a mother is in something metallic.Robi it only at full I'm feeling totally unbearable, I think about 2000-3000 / ot. What's next?

I think its best you write in your own language and we can translate, this make no sense anymore.

x5go 28 Aug 2018 17:54

I do not understand your answer? I just need to know where and where something can be released what would sound?
