Yuasa battery failure
 

On 18 Jan 2000 I replaced the battery in my '95 XT 600EG. By By early Feb of the same year it had failed (4 cells flat, 2 okay). This was replaced by another on 3 October 2000. Now 1 Dec 2001 (ie one year later) this battery is flat. The bike is charging well. Anyone with any ideas?

Bit embarrassing when you have to post a reply to your own question! Turned out it wasn't a battery failure but dirty terminals on the battery which drained it overnight (I didn't know it would do that. As well the bike would only idle after I roll started it and with any revs on it would cut out. But going well again now.
