Just over 97, 000 miles and counting... this is a blog about both short and long trips I have or will be taking on a motorcycle. This website also provides both novice and experienced riders with links to various motorcycle related materials including but not limited to magazines, manufacturers, reviews of products and up-coming charitable and just for fun riding events in both Canada and the United States of America.

Anyone passing through the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, and looking for some help, please feel free to contact me, I have a small home workshop, and can assist with mechanical repairs, and accom for 1 or 2 days.

We can help with minor repairs and accommodation for a few days, along with tips on local attractions and any other info for travellers passing through the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. I am an ex mechanic, and Lyn and I are heading off on our own trip in the next couple of years. My name is Damian Galvin & after leaving my dream Engineering job at Aston Martin Ltd in the uk, I set up White Mountain Property in Brasov, Transylvania. But I haven't lost my petrol-headed roots! I'm an ex UK member of HU & am happy to help any passing bikers as best I can. So if you need to re-weld your frame, change a tyre, or rebuild the engine, I usually know someone who can help. I myself broke down in my landrover at the top of the Transfagaras mountain road, 25km from the main hightway & knowing where to get a tow truck to get me back to Brasov made a massive difference to the experience.

Brasov, Bran, Moieciu, Fundata, Transfagarasan, Pestera etc are truly incredible places to visit & I highly recommend it as a bikers prime destination. As an avid bike traveller (I have an Africa Twin, DR800 & a had GS1100), I live in (gorgeous) Brosov (google it), near the centre of transylvania & am happy to help with anything from a free safe to leave you bike overnight while you stay in a town hotel to finding you affordable holiday villa rental in the midst of incredible biker routes. One such villa is only 500meters away from the excellent but maybe expensive 'MotoRom' KTM centre near Bran Castle. So you can use the centre by day or half day & get me to find you a villa for you or a group to stay in. http://www.craiasabranului.com.

I am a member of the Brisbane community, just recently attended the Queensland meeting and shortly after moved to my new property in the same area. I have a reasonably equipped workshop, hydraulic bike-lift, tools etc and more than enough camping space on my property, about 30 minutes north of the International-Airport and near the Bruce-highway.
I would like to extend a standing invitation to any travellers passing trough the area who need a place to rest-up, make some repairs, store a bike for a while etc, or just want to pop in overnight to sit next to a fire and talk travel!
