"Achievable Dream" - How to ride around the world Video
Many of you who have attended our Travellers Meetings over the years - those that Susan and I have been able to
get to - and have attended our 3-4 hour long "How-to" presentation.
Following the runaway success of the first Horizons Unlimited Achievable Dream DVD, and responding to many requests for more information delivered the same way, Horizons Unlimited is producing a series of four high-quality DVDs during 2008.
The key aim of the DVD's is to encourage people to follow their dreams and go on an overland trip by motorcycle. To assist in this, the DVDs will highlight practical and essential information about all aspects of preparing and going on a major motorcycle trip. Rather than just one person’s opinions, however well-informed, these DVDs will feature inspiring talks, video clips and images from all over the world, debates on ‘hot topics’ and interviews with over a hundred seasoned motorcycle travellers.
And that's where you come in - we need some video from YOU!
What for:
What we'll use it for is short, exciting clips, 10-60 seconds long or so, to intersperse all the
yakking and boring stuff ;).
Compensation:
These DVD's present a unique opportunity for you who have ‘been there, done that’ to share your knowledge with new travellers just starting out, and thereby give something back to the HU global Travellers Community.
We don't expect to make enough money to pay for the clips, sorry - but you will get fame - or at least, credit on the DVD. :) We will also upgrade your Membership on the HUBB, which gives you increased privileges.
Exactly what we want:
The clips should be very high quality originals, not compressed or converted, and preferably
in Mini-DV format or even better wide-screen (the final format of the DVD). Remember,
motorcycle travel clips only, showing the bike and rider in exotic locales, preferably moving, or from-the-bike video clips,
on and off-road. Voice over optional. Let me know what you have here, and we'll let you know where to send it.
And what we don't want:
Sorry, we don't want hours
and hours of video. It's just too hard to deal with and takes much too long for us to edit - we really need your help
to make this possible, so please just your very best clips.
