Bulkhead replacement in Morocco

Hi all

I have developed a large hole in the bulkhead of the 110 defender. I know this is fairly commonplace however this one is right next to the steering column mounting points so needs replacing badly.

Does anyone know of a good place in Morocco that could undertake this job inexpensively??

cheers
Matt

Whereabouts are you in Morocco?

What's involved in the repair--is it just a case of welding a plate into place?

Tim

Try this guy in Marrakech. If he can't do it he will find somebody who can and probably oversea that you get a good deal etc.

He's very honest etc

As Tim says whereabouts are you.
Met a great bunch of mechanics in Erfoud, on the left hand side of the road as you head out of town towards Mezouga. They fix all the local tour LR's and did a good job of fixing ours. Great friendly honest bunch.

Wherabouts are you

Haven't made it yet - the trucks rusting away in the UK nut though a nice weeks break on the way to CT might be nice while the old girl is mended - looked at a complete BH because i reckon the old one is a bit like swiss cheese

thanks for the help though

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
