Land Cruiser Meet - 18th-20th April
Hi,
As I have mentioned before, I am organising a weekend meet on 18th-20th April at an offroad site in Worcestershire the the Euro Land Cruiser Owners club that I run.
A large number of members of ELCO are also interested in overlanding (several are also members here) so I was wondering if there was anyone else here interested in coming along.
We are basically camping on a farm in Worcestershire that has an off road course on site. Some members will want to go Green Laning over into Wales, some will want to play on the offroad course and others may just want to sit around a camp fair and tell tall stories about their travels
If there is enough interest we may try to throw together some informal training on things like vehicle recovery, workshop training, etc - basicallly press ganging members to share their skills.
Obviously the event is intended for Land Cruiser owners or potential owners (i.e. LR owners wanting to upgrade ), but I am sure we may be able to squeeze in one or two others.
If you are a Toyota owner (or potential owner) interested in coming along, you can find out a bit more from the ELCO website LandCruiser.info - a valuable resources for Landcruiser owners - you must register in order to be albe to attend and it would be appreciated if you can register sooner rather than later so that we can guage numbers.
If you don't qualify above, but are still interested, please either pm me or call me on 07971 540362 and I'll see if we can fit you in.
I hope to see some of you there.

Morning All,
As we draw close to the weekend are there any more of you that want to come?
So far we have 17 vehicles and around 30 people, so it is building up to quite a fun weekend.
Just to respond to a few queries we have had:
1. If you want to come for just one night, just for the day, etc then no problem, we have made it as flexible as possible.
2. We still need to sort out if we are going to run any special courses/training sessions, we have had a mixed take up on this so far.
3. If you are camping and haven't booked meals, that's fine, however it would be nice if you can book yourself in for the Saturday evening meal - we are aiming this to be a hog roast and we need the numbers up to make it worthwhile.
4. If you are camping, please send in your camping fees, details are in the email that you would have received when registering.
5. If you want to change or update your registration info, use the link in the email you received when registering.
6. The weekend is intended for Land Cruiser owners, but if you or a friend wants to come along in a lesser model, you will certainly be welcome ;-)
Finally, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me on my mobile - 07971 540362.
I look forward to seeing you next weekend.

Hi,
It's a shame you can't make it, it looks like it will be mainly overlanders coming along so I can see lots of tall stories being swapped around the camp fire.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
