Russia, Road Of Bones 2010.
Hello All,
Planning a trip starting 1st of May 2010, over Denmark – Sweden – Finland – St.Peterburg – Moscow – Kazakhstan – Mongolia – Russia with Yakutsk to Magadan also known as the Road Of Bones.
I have been 4X4íng for a long time, and have a fully set up expedition truck, a Land Rover 110 300Tdi. If anyone is planning something similar, maybe we can share some info, at this stage I don’t really know much about the visa regulations. I do not have a tight time schedule, and like to just see what the road will bring. I’m especially interested in driving the Road Of Bones section together with another vehicle, to be able to winch each other out.
Might also have an opening for a navigator, if anyone is interested. I’m pretty easy going, likes to camp a lot and is hardly ever seen in public after 1700 without a in hand. Navigator will need own tent, and money for half of the fuel. Stamina and a cracking sense of humor a must……
Regards, Ib.

Hi - check out my page:
GPX Route Map Technical Details - GPS Jottings
which has maps of some of that route, taken on a Dragoman Overland truck. Might be useful to you.
Regards, Tim Makins, currently in Kovalam, south India.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
