An interesting abuse test on different recovery track and recovery boards:

It shows that those maxtrax or Tred-pro has their price-tags for a reason.

Here is a real world test of the ARB Tred Recovery Boards.

Chrome (his real name) of the Vancity Vanlife YouTube channel got stuck while camping in BC a few months back - BFG KO2s, single wheel spinning, in a bit of mud, on a slight incline. Chrome lives full time in his overloaded 2wd Ford E250 van. He used his ARB Tred Recovery Boards to successfully recover himself, but I was surprised to see, as he was, that these expensive ARB's snapped on such a mild recovery. This was the first time he used them.

[Rapax]

It snapped exactly where he hit it with the branch to push under the wheel. It´s constructed to withstand pressure from the top which it did.
