Unimogging around Morocco
Hi,
Anyone following the Morocco forum will probably have seem me talking about the trip my wife and I are on. We're in a 4x4, so I thought I'd refer to it here.
We're in a Mog, and old one but she runs pretty ok. We are spending 3 months in Morocco (89 days...) and loving every minute of it!

That's just 2 years ago beside the ship? Wow! It's going fast!
Anyway, we've not been spending all our time by the campfire! (Some maybe!)
I've been disapointed not to see any international travellers on large bikes coming from places I cannot even say, never mind find on a map. I did manage to get my bike fix through!

When travelling in your own vehicle, you handle the whole food thing a bit different than a someone on a bike as you've a bit of space to bring some stuff. We got it almost right, but not 100%. When (not if) we come here again, I would be sure to bring:
Loads of salami's
Sausages and rashers (I would KILL for a rasher sambo)
porridge and Muesli - Even when you do find them here, they are CRAZY expensive
Worcestershire sauce - for the shepards pie
dried chillis - The local chilli has no real heat in it.
Cheese - there is loads of laughing cow, some expensive Edam but that's it.
and very little else!
The bread here is fantastic, and everywhere, loads of veg, except for broccoli and beansprouts.

We were doing a few jobs on the mog yesterday, and there was a heard of goats grazing on their way by. The herder brings them by the campers, and the campers throw them their organic waste (veg and fruit skins, dried out bread...) and the goats eat it up. Pretty good really.
Then this guy decided he wanted to have a good look around...
And when out for a drive, we saw something unusual - a car not on the road. Many vehicles are held together by chewing gum, duct tape and good luck, but this one seems to have been scrapped. By a shady tree mechanic....
I'm not sure if there are many folks here on Facebook, but if so, you might like to take a look at our page there, as we post to that more often than the Hubb. Moglander Travels | Facebook

Our time in Morocco is over. We drove a little over 6000km in 84 days. That brought us around a lot of the country, but there are so many places to visit that we both agreed we need another long trip to Morocco in our future.
We've written up on our blog about the highlights, lowlights etc.
This photo says it all about our love of the country.

The blogs great and made me both jealous and keen to get back out to Morocco asap. Looks like October will be my next visit
Hi TheWarden!
Thanks for the comment! If our blog gets you all worked up to go back again, and lights the fire that was probably smoldering away, then it's been worth our while to write it. I know that we have been inspired by various blogs, sites, travel books etc, and if previous travelers never bothered to write about their trips, we might never have made ours.
Enjoy October!
Merv and Sarah.
note: We're hanging out in Spain, trying to learn a few words of Spanish so that we can deal with customs when we arrive in Argentina next August.
