Question BMW F650 in Oz

Hey guys,
Came to Oz from Isreal to make my dream..
planning to bye a bike.

What do you think about a 99year, 23000km BMW F650 used bike.

For going from Sydnye to Darwin via East coat, to Alice Springs and back to
Sydnye via East coast again.
By comparing riliability, spare part all over the Oz, ability to carry weight
and how easy you think is to sale one like this?

The bike is comming with paniers, do you think I should remove them for carying big bags?

Im 75kg, will ride Solo, 1 big bag like backpack, 1 small, tent and xtra gear..

Thanks

Idan

sounds like a plan

not too many km on the beast ,they have great economy ,and have a few little things you have to watch (waterpump) but a joy to ride (as are all bikes in different ways) if it s a good price you are happy with go and grab it ,make an offer ,you are from israel ,lol ,and enjoy , its good trip that direction this time of year if you go north, make the effort to do cape york above cairns ( the pointy bit of oz) ,amazing oh yeah ,keep the panniers ,best to have the weight low ,leave your back pack in sydney ,not a hard bike to sell either

trans alp

great choice for doing the miles and bulletproof honda reliability ,price well deponds on km/s and condition, accesories ,blah, blah, blah ,but if it gets you where you want ,then its all good and you should get a fair ammount of that back when you sell

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
