Can i ship our bikes from Indonesia to Darwin?

Hi everyone.
I'm after a little info about shipping/air freight from Indonesia to Darwin Australia.

We should hopefully be in Indo around November and will need to send our bikes to Darwin for December.

What are our best options?
Ride all the way to Dili and ship from there or is it better/cheaper/shorter shipping time doing it from somewhere earlier through Indo?

Also does anyone have any rough prices we might expect to pay?

Thanks
Will

The price shipping one bike from Dili to Darwin was last year approx 850 USD in Dili and then another 230 AUSD in Darwin.

I highly recommend to ride through most of Indonesia, one of the most interesting countries I have been riding in. Fantastic friendly and helpful people and a very cheap place to be.

We shipped with ANL FROM Darwin to KL no probs. When your bike arrives in Darwin be prepared for a few days of METICULOUS cleaning before it can clear customs. When we were boxing our bikes in Darwin some Scotts with virtually brand new Ducati Scramblers coming from Indo spent 3 days dissassembling their bikes and cleaning them with toothbrushes. Surprisingly, I shipped a rusty old RD400 from Darwin to New Zealand and had virtually no problems even though NZ prides itself on its super tight biosecurity controls.

Good luck

I'd reccomend SDV for shipping your bikes to Darwin. (Make sure they're exeptionally clean, including all your gear)
