GoTourNZ, Thunderbike, or Ian Fitzwater?
We are considering a self guided tour of both Islands next March, probably 5 weeks or so. The company/gentleman I have been conversing with is GoTourNZ, and Ian Fitzwater. Their webb site indicates they also own Thunderbike Powersports in Nelson, NZ.
Ian seems like a great guy, but the trip in a long time and and a long way from here. I am wondering if anyone here has any input, good or not, on either Ian or the companies?
regards, greg

Here in Oz have only heard good things about Ian & his operation. A couple of people on online Triumph forums used his services & were highly impressed.

I did a tour with Ian's brother John in 2000. The whole thing went like clockwork, the organisation was first class and so was all the accommodation we used. If I was going back now I would use them again.

A good friend of mine works for them at Thunderbike and is a member of the HUBB (G'Day Alan) and he's only ever said good things about them. He's a straight guy, so I am sure he would have said something by now.
Regards
Nigel in NZ

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
