Hello everybody,
My Name ist Gubi i travelled before from 2008 to 2010 with a SuperTenere750 from Switzerland to Kuala Lumpur, about 44000km.
Then i have to go back to Switzerland, work and save a little bit money to go forward for my next trip. now the time is here, my bike, a Yamaha Tenere 600 is on the way to Auckland and i will be there also on 17. jan. 2012. Bring out the Bike from the warehouse, Costums and all.
I look here for some accomodations, tipps an mayby other bike traveller is on the same time on the way in NZ.
I will stay 3 month in NZ and travelling around, meet some people an enjoy the greath landscape. I am a Motobiketraveller, on the way with my tent, open mind and open eyes ;-)
Regards
Gubi

Hi Gubi,
After your arrival, try to go straight to AirNZCargo, where I suspect your bike will be. A friend of ours cleared his bike in 1.5h on the day of his arrival. It took us a week without a carnet...
I think the best gravel roads you will find in the S Island high country and up here in Northland. Look us up, we have a room for bike travellers.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
