NZ Mini-Meeting, 16th Feb only one month away
Here's a reminder to all about the HU Mini-meeting. It's on the 16th of February at Arthurs Pass, NW of Christchurch, South Island New Zealand.
More details on this link:
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/meetings/NZ2008.php
Some details on this link are not correct as it's the general form for the major meetings. It's an overnight event only; arrive Saturday, leave Sunday. We will be there from Friday so feel free to turn up early, but you will need to organise your own accommodation for that night. There is plenty of free camping at our holiday hut there, for that night. Accommodation in the bunkrooms IS included in the fee, which will be no more than NZ$20. There is plenty of camping space also from Saturday. Anything other than camping or bunk-room (9,6 and three bed rooms, total 45 beds) you can arrange yourselves, as there are many accommodation options at Arthurs Pass.
Looking forward to meeting lots of travellers there. We have some from Aussie, UK and the Czech Republic already confirmed as well as Kiwis. Be there!
Kind regards
Nigel and Lee

Wow! Thanks guys. This is how we started out, offering a bed for a few nights to travelers and it has been a fab experience.
Can you make it down for the meeting?
Kind regards
Nigel and Lee

Hi Nigel
Just a bit confused about the meeting 16/17 Feb. How do you run the meeting - what happens when. We were planning to come down on Fri and head home on Mon.
Looking forward to it.

I Can't believe I missed this!
I am from England and have been riding round NZ for a few months.
Went to a garage in Timaru to pick up an oil filter on Saturday to be told they wouldent have any while Tuesday so I spent the next few days literally waiting and plodding a few miles rom Arthurs pass waiting on it - not knowing you were all having fun round the corner! :-D

So...how did it go?
So...how did it go?
How was the meet Nigel?
Wish I could have made it down there - due to the demands of my new born little fella my weekend ride went no further than the street races at Paeroa (wicked)
Good turn out? Much home brew drunk/lies told?

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
