Hi Samy

The best site I can think of it actually for Geocaching, i use it a lot to find out od the way places with some sort of interest

NZ caches can be found on this page
And to see them on a map of NZ go to this page

Also visit the Offical NZ tourism site where they even have a travel planner and a list of must see activities

I hope that helps and look us up when you are here

Cheers Scott

Hi Scott,
We are comming over in November for around 4 months, it has been over 14 years since we were last in NZ. The loose plan at the moment is to buy a small camper and travel around. The last visit was part of our RTW trip and we were two up on a Guzzi, managed to see a lot in the 3 month we stayed.
If you have any ideas on buying a camper or maybe 4x4 plus tent, please let me have them, I would like to get somthing for around the 9000 NZD or less. I have been checking NZ Trade Me for prices and ideas.

We are off on the bikes to Turkey for a couple of months so will checking out the HUBB from time to time.

Steve

Exclamation You're on the right track

TradeMe will give you the best idea of what's available and what prices. If you have been here before you will probably know that in the summer, unless you are going to really hard-core off-road areas, then a 4x4 is not really needed. Ground clearence is more important, and something like a Toyota HiAce van will do most of what you want. And with a carry frame on the back or front, you can fit a small trailbike! You should be able to get a good van (not purpose built camper) for under $4000 and the rest can go to a bike ;-)_ Now is the time to buy, of course, as it's the low season. I live near Christchurch in the South island, do you want me to keep an eye out for you?

Regards

Nigel in NZ

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
