Bike offer Germany...
Hi there!
As I do like meeting people and have a "spare" bike, I might be able to "lend" it to people who want to visit Germany (close to the Ruhr-valley in North-Rhine-Westphalia - beautiful landscape for motorbikers - just being a little rainproof necessary...)
There might be two either - if interested we can discuss all the things concerning pick up, cost sharing, insurance and so on via email!
ADDITONAL:
I recently found out, that people on my regular insurance are only insured, if they
are from Germany ( :-( ). So I need to find out, if
there's an additional fee for covering you guys.
I'm certainly still happy about people coming here and I have found some quite cheap offers from dealers around here for RENTING brand new bikes (weekly rates and stuff).
BUT right now for everyones happyness giving my own bike would be too much of a risk for everyone...
Greetings Mel...
P.S. Would pick you up from train stations, bus stops or airports "nearby" (I'll ride a far way but not forever ;-) ) either.
AND I can bring you to the rent-point either, again - sorry I can't do more right now.

Hello Mel.
We are two retirees planning a 3-month trip to Europe this summer. We'd very much be interested in borrowing/leasing/or otherwise using a motorcycle to tour and camp Aug-Sept. Want to try to work something out?
P.S. While we're in Europe, we might be able to arrange reciprocal use of our 4WD truck in US.
Regards,
Neil

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
