Bikeswap - New Zealand for Europe
Hi all
My wife and I are thinking of touring around Europe in 2009 (July)
We will be visitin Norway, Sweden, Germany etc etc
So we would like to swap bikes if possible or point us in the right direction where we could buy one or hire one that wont cost the earth
We have a 2006 F650GS, with full luggage and mods for more adventurous travellers
We can even arrange good accommodation and other riders places so keeping the costs down
Cheers Scott

Hey Kiwi rider.
I'm a kiwi living in the Netherlands. I'm about to purchase a 1100gs. So we might be able to sort something out next year!
I'm wanting to take my dutch girlfriend back home for a couple of weeks and was wondering about transport / hiring a bike. Where in NZ are you. My family is based in the South Waikato

Don't forget...
Trans-Atlantic BikeShare, World Wide - BikeShareworld.com
I'm a member and have been for a few years. The Tour-Share section is also a good idea. You can email members and meet, get advice and help, and sometimes even accommodation.
Regards
Nigel in NZ
P.S. I know Scott, and he's a good'un.

Het Scott
At this stage it's a loose thought but proberly March-ish '09. Try get some nice weather. And let the folks meet her etc. This summer will be the test for the lass to see if she's keen on being the back of the bike!
So if you're interested, we should keep in touch and in a the next 1-2 months I'd have a much better idea of my dates. I've got the funds pretty much sorted so by end of Feb I'd hope to have the 1100 (i've only just moved here so there's always a 100 and 1 things that need to be sorted!) I'll send ya photies when I've got it
Ride safe,
Steve

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
