Let's swap bikes and see the world!
Hello. I am new to this forum so I might just say "Hi" with this post.
My name is Przemek (39 years old) and I am a solo motorcycle traveler from Poland. My trips include Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romenia and Greece. This year I would love to visit Turkey. I do all my trips solo, always on wheels of the bike from start to finish. At home I ride Harley-Davidson Iron 883 but for travels I use BMW bikes – BMW R1200GS ADV LC and BMW F650GS (but too be honest I ride mostly the big one nowadays and the small one is sitting in the garage waiting for its turn :-)).
Inspired by a well-known traveler from Youtube, Pavlin Zhelev from Motorcycle Adventures channel (Pavlin, thank you for that!), I came up with an idea: what if somebody would like to use my BMW F650GS for traveling Europe and would be happy to let me use his/her bike to travel America, Asia, Australia or Africa?
My BMW F650GS is a 2007 model, fully inspected in top working order, with full insurance. It is well equipped (all Touratech accessories, including additional 22 liter gas tank conversion, 2x45 liters Touratech panniers, Garmin Zumo 590 navigation, Garmin Tire Pressure Monitoring system, etc.) and ready for around-the world adventure. What it needs is a traveler ready to ride it.
My rules are simple and honest:
1. If you break something, you pay for it / replace it.
2. If you crash / destroy / total the bike, you buy it (I estimate bike’s worth at about 4.000 Euro, so it is not scary to ride it, like those high-dollar new machines).
3. No off-road (apart from simple getting to a camp-side) or TET routes, just a regular motorcycle tourism / travelling.
If those rules are OK for you and you have a bike that you would let me use, on similar terms, get in touch with me.
I am open to meet new people and see the world that would otherwise be unreachable to me.
Let’s swap bikes and see the world!

Hi, I have a BMW 700GS in Nova Scotia, Canada and could well be interested in a swap. I rode a bike like yours through Africa and it was amazing. I also have some camping gear.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
