Yamaha XT660R for sale in Katikati, New Zealand
Having ridden my Yamaha XT660R from UK to New Zealand back in 2008/2009 it's been at my dad's house (a few hours outside of Auckland in Katikati), and aside from a 6 week ride around NZ in 2013 it's been in my dad's garage.
He wants the space back, so the bike sadly has to go.

I filled the engine up with oil to stop corrosion of engine internals, and it probably needs a new pair of tyres by now, but other than that it should be good to go. I put a new (low mileage) engine in it in 2013 because there was some spurious engine noise from the original.

Metal Mule panier and tail rack, aluminium panniers, Metal mule exhaust and bash plate, better handlebars (renthal maybe can't recall), touring screen, foam serviceable air filter.

I wouldn't recommend turning up and expecting to turn it on and ride. Needs some love to get going, but it was amazing for my year long 42,000km trip and never missed a beat!
Bike is registered in New Zealand now.
Price negotiable.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
