Very reluctant sale:-
My 2005 GS 1150 Adventure in silver with just under 72,000 miles on the clocks. Used but never abused! Moving house and the bike sadly has to go. It has a full service history along with all paperwork, receipts, 2 keys, log books, manual, tool kit etc. Its a 55 plate bought by the previous owner (I am the second) for BMW Motorrad, Park Lane. The previous owner emigrated and this bike became my project, having it kitted out for overland travel and the 'big trip' which I never quite did beyond Europe! So mods have been made to strengthen and lighten where possible. The bike has had the subframe removed, reinforced and powder coated. The ABS has been removed and the space where the unit used to sit now houses an aluminium box which swallows spares for longer travel. An upgraded Sebenrock clutch was also fitted at around 60,000 miles and the handlebars were modified and powder coated, side stand extended to reduce the lean angle when fully loaded, oil sight glass protected etc. There are a load of things - improvements I would say. Feel free to ask.

Condition wise the bike is corrosion free and I would say the overall condition is good to excellent for its age due to not riding in winter and 3 in 1 oil/WD40! Its not show room condition and it has been used and on its side due to three static drops over the 8 years I have owned it. Its never been down the road! So there are marks to one of the cylinder heads, one of the handlebar guards and one of the panniers which will pull out if desired.
Mechanically its spot on and has been serviced independently by a specialist, for the time I have owned it along with Vines and Steptoe once. MOT remaining.
Based on the above I am offering £5000 for the bike along with all the accessories (at least £4000 worth back in the day) or £4000 for the bike alone and I will take off everything and sell it separately which I really loathe to do having witnessed first hand and second hand all the time and energy which has gone into creating this well sorted GS.
Thanks!
