FS: Yamaha FZ1S in Europe for the 2020 season, available to non-EU residents
I'm posting this far in advance, but let's just have this sit here, in case someone is making plans.
If you're looking to come to Europe next year, buy a bike and travel around, and you're worried about paperwork difficulties, this is a solution for you!
I have a 2008 Yamaha FZ1S Fazer, set up for sport-touring, available in Estonia. This is my personal bike that I've had for two years, taken it to Nordkapp and Lofoten, etc. The bike can be bought and registered by a non-EU-resident. You will be the official owner with your name in the paperwork, you can cross any border in the world, sell the bike easily, etc. Here is a description of how it works: https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hu...303#post603830
The change of ownership is very easy, a couple of hours max at the licensing office here in Estonia. Mandatory insurance is also cheap - I just checked and for this bike, it's under 80 euros per year, including the Green Card. I'll also be happy to help you out with any moto gear or camping gear you need once you get here (including my old spare gear that I can throw in for free if you want it).
The bike itself:
- Kappa K33 hard panniers and a big Kappa top box that will easily fit two helmets (Kappa is Givi's no-marketing discount brand).
- RAM X-Grip phone holder with USB charger
- Airhawk seat cover if you want it.
- Center stand
- Crash bars
- Givi quicklock tank ring (I'll throw in a 3D603 tank bag if you want).
- An alarm system with a pager-style remote control, vibration-sensitive etc. I'll be honest - the previous owner put it on, I never even reconnected it. But I have both the pagers and the original box with instructions.
- Huge Moto Detail drybag across the pillion seat - will easily fit all your camping gear etc.
- Don't remember the exact mileage but it's around 58K km.
- Nearly new Michelin Pilot Road 5 on the back (fitted August 2019), currently getting a completely new Pilot Road 5 on the front as well.
- New set of sparkplugs fitted at the start of the 2019 season.
- Properly serviced and maintained by Streetmoto, a very reputable shop here in Tallinn. End-of-season service (including new oil & filter, and anything else they tell me needs doing, included).
- Being professionally stored overwinter at Streetmoto (in a dry, warm garage, with a trickle charger).
Now here's the disclaimer: I dropped the bike in September of 2019. It's got a brand-new new Yamaha factory fairing in the original Deep Red Metallic color, a new headlight, new mirrors, the original factory windscreen (I'll throw in an MRA X-Screen adjustable lip if you want it). But there's definitely nicks and scratches.
Selling partially because of the drop, but mostly because I have already gotten three speeding tickets on this bike. Time to switch to a CB500X before I lose my license.
Looking for €3999 obo.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
