I'm a good mechanic and take care of my equipment. This bike was well maintained under my care and is ready for your epic ride back North. No reason to fly into Santiago, then ride to Ushuaia and back up, start in the South and eliminate the back-tracking!
December is a beautiful time to start a motorcycle ride in Patagonia.

Yes, it is very easy. Travelers do it all the time in Latin America. You can chose to have the actual ownership transferred in the US (regardless of where you live or have nationality in or where the bike is, there is a business that provides this service https://www.facebook.com/OverlandTitles/) Or you can simply travel on a Poder Illimitado (power of attorney) which is very common as well and is how my brother was traveling on this bike. The poder can be provided by the above company as well.
The only limitation you would have would be bringing the bike into your home country. You'd have to officially import it, which is dramatically different for each country.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
