2006 Suzuki DR650 For Sale - Buenos Aires, Argentina - $2000 USD

I'm selling a 2006 Suzuki DR650 with USA (Arkansas) number plates in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm hoping to sell it by mid-May as I need to return to Australia.

I am looking for $2000 USD for the motorcycle itself. Alongside the motorcycle, I have soft 30L panniers, a 6L removable tank bag, motorcycle gear, motorcycle cover, all the tools and spare parts necessary for travelling South America, and a bunch of camping and cooking equipment. All of this is up for grabs, and I am happy to negotiate the price to suit your needs.

This is the perfect motorcycle for touring South America on a budget, as it has done so twice already. It is a mid-size bike that can handle all terrain, and is very comfortable riding long distances. It has survived steep, gravelly mountains, raging rivers, beaches and salt flats. This is a hardworking motorcycle that loves adventure.

The motorcycle has travelled almost 70000 miles (110000 km), and been regularly maintained during its lifetime. I have replaced many parts during the 5 years I have had the motorcycle, and it is now fitted with a Barnett clutch kit and a 240W stator. I have even replaced bearings in the engine and wheels so there should be no problems with these.

I initially bought the motorcycle from an American and we can replicate the paperwork to transfer it into your name. I have had zero issues crossing borders with my current paperwork. Of course this is for fellow foreigners as the motorcycle relies on temporary import permits. For residents of Argentina we would need to go a different route.

If you have any queries please reach out to me. I'm hoping to find a new owner to love this motorcycle as much as I have.

Hello,

I'm also wondering if this bike is available? Me and my GF are looking into buying 2x bikes in Argentine/Chile and riding them to the States, where my GF is from, so the USA plate would be ideal!

Thanks!!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
