GIANT PRICE DROP: KLR650 2004 US plates $1000 Colombia NOW

As I am finishing my 6 month adventure, I am selling my beloved and unbreakeable 2004 KLR650. The bike is plated in California (US) and fully equiped for you to swing your leg over and continue my adventure - see the specs furter down.*
The bike will be for sale in Medellín NOW!

I bought the bike in Punta Arenas from a guy riding down from California, so I know all about how to do the paperwork. I spend many hours reading up on this before coming, and it has been working smooth the whole way. Don’t bother reading up on this, I will help you out*

All maintenance have been done according to the service manual (or even better), with oil and filter change every 5000 km, air filter whenever needed (varies a lot with the road conditions) and cleaning and lubing chain on a daily basis.*
Besides a leaking fork, I have had no mechanical issues what so ever. The KLR have been so very reliable having made it so much more fun riding to the remote places. Not having to worry about break downs is a big privilege.*

Specs:*
I am 3rd owner and the previous owner had it for 10 years taking very good care of it. Will have around 107.000 km on the clock when finishing.*
Does around 22 km/L (4,5 L/100 km) at cruising speed 90-100 km/h.*

Recent mechanics done:*
New front Rivaldi and Pirelli MT-60 rear tire (2k km ago)
•New clutch discs (2k km ago)
•New front brake pads (2k km ago)
•New rear brake pads (6k km ago)
•New spark plug (6k km ago)
•New DID chain and JT sprockets 15/43 (12k km ago)
•Cush drive rubbers fixed and new wheel bearing (12k km ago)
•New front fork seals and quality oil (15k km ago)
•New radiator hoses (40k km ago)
•New battery (45k km ago)
•New stainless steel valves and valve job (45k km ago)
•New piston and rings (55k km ago) was oil user; now only 0,3 L in 5000 km oil change

Extras:*
•25L IMS tank
•Thermo Bob
•Happy Trails pannier racks
•Waterproof and lockable Pelican cases panniers (very spacious)*
•Corbin seat (very comfy)
•After market “moab” rear shock (cost 750 USD)
•Oxford grip warmers*
•Bark busters
•Voltmeter
•Two different 12V plug ins
•12V compressor that will save your life

Spare parts: Clutch cable, front and rear tube, spark plug.*

A bag of all the tools you will need will also follow including a lot of different other stuff that will be handy, such as different lubrications, glue, lock tight, tape etc. It also comes with a 12V compressor that will save your life**I also put my riding gear in the deal, if the size fit. I'm 190 cm and 45 EU boots.*
The bike is really perfectly fitted for a SA-adventure with all the extras, tools and everything, you just need to swing your leg over and keep riding.*

I am dropping the price to $1000 US, because my time is running out very fast. Initially I managed to sell it for $2500 US, but the guy ran away from the deal because he met a guy with an emergency back home, and therefore got his bike very cheap. Then I sold it for $1900, did poder and everything, but when it came to the money, no deal.*

For $1000 this is a steal. The bike is in very good condition mechanically. It comes with brand new tires, brakes and clutch and with at least 10.000 km left in the chain if maintained as I maintain my chain. This is a full package ready for your adventure on this pretty and unbreakable bike as the legend goes. This bike will run everywhere, on any fuel available and for however long you want. I wish I could continue on this, but I have to go back to Denmark to finish my studies.*

Contact me here or on WhatsApp: +57 3005660811. I lost my Danish WhatsApp, so I'm using a temporary number.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
