Post For sale in Colombia: Bajaj avenger 220cc 2018 (Colombia registered)

My trip is coming to its end and maybe someone here was thinking of buying a close to be new motorbike for a trip starting in Colombia.

I'm Canadian but the bike is registered in Colombia, under my name. I'm the second owner. Insurance (called SOAT in Colombia) are good until september of this year (2019). If you are not Colombian and you wonder if it is easy to buy in that country, well it is. All you need is a RUNT, that you can get in any SIM governmental office with your passport. Once you have that you can legally buy any car or motorbike. As long as you make sure all the other papers are up to date and clean of any infraction, and of course that you also have a valid driver license. I would be selling it in Medellin or Bogota somewhere betweem january 16th to 21st.

I know people that can help sort it out for you, but seriously it was quite easy for me to become owner of the motorbike (paying a specialist for around 40$US who can more easily do the rest of the papers for you).

The bike itself: not a common model in Colombia and Ecuador (countries I've traveled to) but the motor is exactly the same as a Pulsar 220cc, which is VERY common in Colombia and Ecuador. The only difference is the look, the shape of the bike. The Avenger has more of a rider than racer look, which is great for long distance. I drove it over 3000km, it is now at 15 500km. Drove it with a "maleta" on each side and my backpack attached on the passenger bench. Runs good, get less powerfull when over 3000m of altitud.

Paid 2500$US. Would let if go for 1500$US.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
