For Sale : Honda XRE 300 in Punta Arénas (Chile)
Hello,
UPDATE : will sell the bike in dec 2022 in Argentina/Bolivia, please check new thread !
I am selling my Honda XRE 300 motorcycle, which is currently in Punta Arenas (Chile). It has taken me from Lima to Punta Arenas through mountains and deserts with no issues. A light and stable bike with great shock absorption and autonomy, good on all terrains.
- 2018 model (grey/black)
- 23000 km (bought it at 9000km)
- Running well, some scratches but no violent fall. Changed filters regularly.
- Added large aluminum side cases (500USD)
- Replaced handlebar with stronger one (100USD)
- Also added : large windshield, hand protectors, phone charger (300USD)
- Changed the chain at 19000km, the oil/filter at 21000km, the air filter at 20000km. Just changed the clutch cable.
- Front tire will need to be changed within 3000km, back tire around 60%.
- Peruvian plate (bought in Lima in October 2019)
Price : 3500USD
Here are some pictures, the last one was taken in March 2020, so it's the bike in its current state.
I am selling because I'm unlikely to finish the trip before some years ! I was traveling around South America when covid hit, the bike has been staying at a local guy's place since April 2020. He's taken good care of it and charging up the battery regularly. I will return there and test everything before making the sale.
Only serious offers please, thanks !
Have a good one,
David

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
