Hi,
I'm considering selling my 2005 Yamaha TT600RE at the end of my West Africa trip in February 2024.
Highly modified for Overland and off road use - this is the electric start model.
Same bomb proof engine as the XT600(E).
WR400 front forks and hub. SM Pro heavy duty spokes and rim.
Haan heavy duty spokes and Excel rear rim.
Cycra hand guards
Acerbis 20 litre tank (can manage over 300 miles range depending on conditions).
Uprated Ohlins rear shock from earlier TT600R model.
Double take "unbreakable" mirrors
Custom rally tower, with screen, duel Denali LED lights, 12mm nav mount and RAM mount balls.
4mm B&B aluminium bash plate
Bosley larger, grippier foot pegs
Aux powers outlets and USB ports
Has Mosko Moto Reckless 80 litre soft luggage system. Other gear (camping and bike related) could also be passed over to new rider / owner.
Currently has 30,000 miles on her, but likely around 35 - 40k by the time I'm done. Nothing for these engines.
I'd also be happy for the right type of soul to spend as long as they want to ride it back up to the UK and return it for little cost.
The bike has been well maintained and looked after, and a lot of effort and money put into making it a well sorted travel machine.
I'll never get that back, but am looking for market value.
Standard bikes very rarely come up in the UK for less than £3k, so I'd be looking for £4k.
That would include any spares with the bike.
Any other items of kit that the new owner wanted could be negotiated in the sale.
Exchange could be anywhere in West Africa from Benin to Sierra Leone, would rather do in person, but could be done remotely.
Logistics of all this are flexible. Fantastic opportunity for someone I'm sure.
