nice try! but what im trying to find out is who Sean is, remember? not if beeemers are reliable.
And as a R80 G/S owner, can add, that statistics are not on your side (see bellow),
and since when were forums meant to talk only about breakdowns?

couple other brand specific areas to cover.

This is the BMW tech forum. While this might be the appropriate place in which to discuss BMW reliability--always a popular topic--it's probably the wrong forum for finding out who took the photograph in question.

It might also be that only Grant and Susan can answer, or that even they don't know. I believe they're currently busy with another project, so responses might be slow in coming.

Good luck with your queries!

Mark

sure, tnxs Mark but read my thread title:

"asking ALSO here"

thats because i asked at the pub first:

https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hu...-howman-105858

but no replies, so thought in the bmw fraternity someone might know.

I later managed to find out that this pic won the HU 2008 picture contest or something like that, still no trace of the guy itself, will not bother Grant with this.

Regardless, when the BMW section has all of 6 new in 2024, means its dying TBH..... guess thats the fate of forums these days..... still odd as its the biggest selling adv bike....

Sean is easily found on Facebook, Linkedin and Google. He's playing a gig in Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia next week, amongst other publicly easily accessible information.

Like many people, he seems not to have been on the HUBB for a long while.

Chris, Im a well known idiot, famous at struggling with simple tasks... so you hit the nail in the head! Bravo!

Sadly, i dont have facebook (luckily) so one easy path is not applicable.

I did find a sean howman in linkedin before asking here, but profile didnt mention even once motorcycles....

Google search points at the text of the gallery picture i posted and the linked in profile mentioned. So a bit of a loop.

The funny thing is that all i wanted is to read his posts about his street BMW trip in the HUBB.

Sorry if I disturbed the peace and serenity of the BMW tech section with this pointless thread. My deep and sincere apologies.

Don't give a sh!t about the peace/serenity of the BMW section here, or any other section if it comes to that. Only been posting more recently here because I was bored as I had too much time on my hands only dealing with family business and needed distracting/ entertainment. Usually I've left the HUBB too.

If you were on FB and a friend of Sean's you'd know he was in India earlier this month and is playing a gig tonight in Fitzroy. As you're not, you don't. And can't contact him about his r65 trip. We all make choices.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
