Electrical problem in Osorno, Chile. Need help. F800GSA 2015

I was heading south from Puerto Montt, Chile in medium rain when electrical problems hit my 2015 F800GSA (has obviously been wet many times from Dallas, TX.)

1 ALL the switches on the left grip went dead.
2. The fuel gauge quit and low fuel light illuminated
3. The low beam and BMW aux lights quit . No high beam.
4. Parking light works, and aux indicator light still illuminated (but no lights)

5. All switches on the right work, save you can NOT turn OFF the heat on the grips. But,you CAN switch from low to high heat. (The heat indicator Shows Off, but the grips are still being heated).
6. The grips stay powered ON, even with the key OFF

7. Next day the low and aux lights were working on drive to Motoaventura in Osorno.
(I had the battery disconnected overnight as the grips will drain the battery quickly)

8. Motoaventura cleared the computer codes, and claim the only error remaining is a fault in the Fuel level sensor.
They claim that the left switch cluster is fine.
They seem to think it may be a fault in the wiring harness. But, given everyone wanted to leave early today for Easter, they weren't interested in pursuing further until Monday.
I didn't get the feeling that it was something that they really wanted to tackle.

Any suggestions??

I've got 3 days to kill and was going to pull some panels and try an spot any problems with the harness (chafing, etc), and connectors.

Thanks

yes, Semana Santa is not the time in South America to be in need of a mechanic. And dont count on the mechanic being back at work on Monday. Sorry I dont know much about Bmw electrics, sure others do here on the Hubb. Yes, why not try to find the fault yourself? Suerte mika

Check the connectors ...

Are all the wires going in/out firmly attached .. check each one individually by gently pulling and pushing on each one. You look for movement .. might only be a millimetre more than the other wires, that is enough to indicate a loose crimp connection.

Are there any 'earth' points? Connections to the bikes frame/engine/metal work? Check these too.

I'd be looking at any and all connectors around/from/to the left grip, wires that flex as the steering head is rotated left to right.

-------------- The above are basic checks that can be done on any bike..
Good Luck.

Thanks. Exactly my thoughts. I'm pulling the panels off and tracing the wiring today.
Checking from chafing, bad connectors, etc.
My barely educated guess is a chafed wire, loose/bad connection, stuck switch, etc that is Confusing the ZFE.

Since the headed grips won't turn off, even with the key off, that seem a decent place to start.

Good news is I had Super service from Dennis back at Antafogosto, Chile.
He has reached out to the Head of BMW Motorrad service Chile. So, that should get things rolling.

Anyone have a 2015 model wiring diagram?. I've got an older model one.
