G650x Country
Hi to all. I have just bought a g650x country, was going to use it for work and back and short trips over the winter months, which i probable will. But its such a great bike to ride i'v been looking at some touring extras, nothing too serious, camping w/ends.
Wonderlich have a range of accessories, touring screen, rack, are the first things i would want,But quite expensive. The bike came with tail pack and bmw tank bag, and i have some throw overs.
So, what have you used that has worked for you.
Any tips would be much appreciated.
I also have a R1200GS,so not new to the camping and touring thing.
Cheers, Dave.

X-Country
Are the X-Country's still being manufactured, I was told in OZ that they are not
as they did not take off. My wife really would like one but is worried about the future availability of parts. Any truth or thoughts on this ?
Cheers
Paul

Not being made anymore guys. I'm pretty sure I'm right here, parts have to be available for five years after stopping production, it's the law.
Cheers
Pete

I thought it was 10 years in the EU.
Anyway, Jennabusa on this site has been adventuring his Xcountry ... very good aftermarket suspension and a custom fuel tank:

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
