r1200gsa flat battery
while waiting for the delivery of my new GSA in july, i was thinking how do you restart from a flat battery on this new single wire cam system on the Bmer. Is there enough power to bump it or jump start it, compared to the old lead acid batterys. Thanks for any advice.

The canbus system has been used in most cars for the last ten years or so. As far as the battery is concerned it still has two terminals so you can connect a charger or set of jump leads.
It's also possible to bump or pull start the 12GS, though it's a heavy beast to turn over. I'm hoping the heavier duty alternator on the 12GSA helps with the battery problems.

Not to change the subject too much but I had some battery issues on my 1200GS. There is a recall out to replace an O ring for the fuel pump. Mine had the old O ring and water got into the electronics causing the pump to run all the time (with the key off) and drain the battery. Hopefully the updated O ring will keep this from happening again.
