Avoid GS Logistics India
While in India we contacted a number of companies about airfreighting our bike to Almaty. The first to reply, and with a cost of under £2000 was GS Logistics India. There is another company with a similar name so don’t confuse them. This companies website and feedback made it look like they were a sizeable company. A contact here , a Mr Dhillon, told us to drop the bike off and get our flight. He would take care of everything.
We discovered that Mr Dhillon IS GS Logistics India, and that we were told a series of lies which resulted in our bike taking 4 weeks to fly out of india, It also now cost £3100. I was told in writing it was on a flight when it was not. When I unpacked the bike both tyres were flat and the pipe to the air box had been broken causing the FI light to go on and the bike run badly. Some money in a spare wallet was missing. This of course meant we were days behind schedule and were on the bike for many hours. This probably contributed to our decision to try and get onto a better road which led to our bike crash. My bike is currently parked in a local police station and my wife and I flew home for treatment. She has a broken arm and I have 6 broken ribs, a broken collarbone and a collapsed lung.
One of the other companies that came back to me later did a similar flight for a friend who was following £1500. They can be contacted at balwant@intcargomovers.com.
