Coleman 442 rather than 553
Coleman do a smaller dual fuel stove - the 442 Feather. Smaller than the 553, but same deal (dual fuel), and in my opinion better (smaller, carry case, still v powerful). Like the 553 it has the ability to simmer - something the MSR/red fuel bottle stoves lack.
You can pick them up on ebay - and if you're lucky thay come with a metal carry case that doubles as 2 pots, with handle. Got mine off ebay for forty pounds.
Two points -
1)I believe leaded fuel will eventually block it (spare generators are available). Not sure how long this process takes. Unused or new generator second hand recommended. New generators about 20 pounds.
2)If you want the carry case/pot deal for your existing 442 (yes I do love the carry case), look on ebay for the coleman peak1 cook set, it fits the 442 (the peak1 was the 442 predecessor). Protects the stove and eliminaes the need for a separate cook set.
Hope this is useful to someone.
