Custom Made Textile Clothing
Hi,
Because I am of a errrrr cuddley (OK Fat ) body shape I am having some difficulty finding a set of good textile clothes to fit and was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that manufactures made to measure textile clothes? I've done a search on the forum but couldn't see any topics about it.
Thanks
Adrian

Indaba,
Here in the states the best manufacturer of custom gear is Roadcrafter. You can get an idea on the sizing here: http://www.aerostich.com/modules/Siz...izingtool.html
If you are "super cuddly" you can contact them about custom manufacture of any of their styles: Alterations :: Aerostich/RiderWearHouse Motorcycle Jackets, Suits, Clothing, & Gear but you may well fit into a "stock" size as you know all of us Americans are obese bastards.
They do provide worldwide service, I believe.
One of my riding buddies at work has the Darien jacket and pants and they are extremely high quality. Last set of gear you'll ever need to buy.

I hate to burst your bubble but they could not fit me in a roadcrafter and I am only 260 and six foot two, and I went to the shop for a fitting....I guess I have to go on a diet if this is the best we have for custom and they cant do it.
I always thought of myself as dainty....

Big guy clothes
Here in montana USA there are some specialty manufactures that make hunting clothes for the pro sports guys that like to hunt in cold weather. Try 6'7" and 300 pounds. Unfortunately they don't do motorcycle gear.

I had looked at the aerostitch stuff and whilst the jacket looked OK (The Darien that is) the trousers are way too long (like 5 inches - I'm built like a very cuddley gorilla: long body and short legs ). But I will look deeper into what alterations they can make in that regard. Thanks for the info

Try KLIM rider gear. The offroaders rave about it.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
