Great helmet - I can hardly wait!!

Not much doubt about which of these two helmets will sell!!

Long Way Down replica Arai gets go ahead - Motorcycle News - MCN

The only surprising thing is that they may not be available until after Christmas, according to the blurb given here.

Thumbs up Lwd

That would be really funny, and a great piss-take, if everyone painted Long Way Down on the side of their helmets.

But............. I just can't be bothered.

I saw the designs and like it very much but i tried one of the TourX helmets on the other day at a dealers and i have now noticed they have like a extra set of pad connected by some straps that all move around. i dont mind this but the fore head one curls up when i put the helmet on and the sticthing digs into my head:confused1: . I remember trying one of these helmets on when they first came out and i cant remember this happening. Is this part of there new design or just something i must have missed before??? any help

I can get the helmet to fit comfortably but takes a good 2 or 3 minutes of messing around. But for a helmet that is gonna cost that type of money i would rather it fitted first time everytime.

Buy one of these and you can look a proper Charley hey?

It's funny, when Long Way Round came out I thought great, I didn't feel any of that resentment some people have expressed about two w**kers going round the world on bikes, and freebies and ... well all that.

But this time round, from Looking at the BBC site it all just seems a bit, big, a bit over planned a bit too much "Look at us, we're cool, on bikes". I notice the suppurt vehicles are covered in Long Way Down logos too.

It's seems a mile of the Long Way Round supposed ideal of travelling through unnoticed just meeting the people. Last time round it seemed to be two mates loving bikes, travelling, this time round it seems more like two professionals seeing another money making opportunity.

Can't wait for "Long Way Up" though, Ewan and Charley ride their BMWs up Mount Everest.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
