Motorcycle apron aka "Tablier"
Hi all, I've just come back from a few days in Paris (magic).
The one thing that really caught my eye were all the scooters with aprons for bad weather riding. I managed see just a couple of bikes fitted with them, but never managed to have a chat with the riders.
Does anyone know where to obtain these in the uk for bike use.
Thanks, Richard.

Don't know if it's the same thing you mean, but down here in Italy everyone seems to be using "Termoscuds" made my Tucano Urbano...they make different versions and sizes, not just for scooters. Look on their website for dealers in the UK :

Thanks.
Thanks Guys, looks like I may be in luck. Hopefully I'll get one in time for the winter. Heated grips and muffs are ready to go on, so an tablier should round off the whole outfit nicely.
Cheers, Richard.

And why not?
And what is wrong with being prepared for the usual cr*p UK winter weather?
I ride all year round, commuting and working (instructor) except for really bad days, about 3 days a year. I'm not one of the part time sports bike riders that disappear when the temp drops below double figures never to be seen again until Easter.! I'm sure most of you will have seen the when they come out of hibernation, wobbly around bends because they've spent 6mths tucked up in nice cosy cars and can't remember how to read the road ahead or how to go round a bend properly.
Cheers, Richard.
p.s. It's not really meant to sound like a rant.
p.p.s. I'll see some of you at Covent Garden.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
