I would say look for something that you are looking foward to wear every day. The biggest chalenge is to find what who are most confortable with.
For this reason I only buy from the distributors that have no restocking fees.
Finally, after a surgery and as I age I need to do specific stretching exercises daly to maintain the range, the strenght and the movement of my articulations.

Shoulders, Knees & Elbows are (currently) comfortably covered.

As mentioned above, I'm gonna look into the pads that the High School / College / NFL/CFL players wear.
