Saunders tents
Just a quick recomendation for these extremely light tents. I bought my space packer tent second hand 13 years ago because of the weight, or lack of it. 1,9 Kg. Its still going strong and the only modification was to have a fly screen stitched into the inner doors to make it more comfortable in hotter climates.
The inner has often been used seperately by hanging from the handle bars to provide a safe fly free enviroment.
It packs small enough to fit on the handlebar cross bar(poles stored elsewhere) though not my first choice, handy if everywhere else is full.
It is on the small side for 2 people but we find the advantages of small weight and size far outway this(except in persistant rain conditions when we find a hotel)
The only drawback is that unlike dome tents you do need to peg it out making it difficult on very loose sand or hard ground. However it has never proved impossible, yet.
Many years of abuse have failed to show any faults.
Highly recomended, but check out its not too small for you first.
