Unhappy shark evoline helmet

read about this new helmet in Motorcycle News yesterday but cant find any info about it online, anyone know anything? it looks like a better/more modern ROOF boxer. it has a chinbar that folds to the back of the head and looks like some spoiler helmets you can get, looked pretty good but the website in the paper is for a caribbean holiday resort!! DOH!

they are out and i got one

took a long time for shark to get the folding mechanism right but its out now. i just bought one and although its early days i like it a lot. its very quiet for a flip up and im finding out why some die hards only ever have open faced lids, its a pleasure in the nice weather and car drivers can hear what you are shouting at them

had the evoline for a year now, so heres an update;
everything said about it so far still holds true,
the lining is standing up very well and still fits and doesnt smell,
the finish is still good (i got the matt rubbery black one)
the chinbar mechanism works perfectly still
the anti scratch+misting visor still works perfectly
the only thing i dont like about it is the visor mechanism and the way the visor attaches to the hinges, its pants.
it is extremely stiff to open because the opening knob presses the visor against the rubber sealing strip around the inside. it is much easier to open if you simply push it up from the bottom like a normal helmet but if you do that, the way the visor attaches to the mechanism comes loose and you risk losing the expensive visor down the road. i have caught mine several times.

this a bit cheap and nasty on a helmet that cost over £200 so shark should sort the design out, no reason why a perfectly normal mechanism wouldnt fit in there.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
