Synthetic Sleeping Bags: Nanok and Mountain Equipment. Experiences?
I've been toying with the idea of replacing our Mountain Equipment Firewalker II sleeping bags.
Ealier posts and reponses suggested getting a down bag, but having thought about it, weighed up the pros and cons, I think we still plan to stick to synthetic. yes they are heavier, bulkier and a little less flxible in their range of uses, but I could almost afford all three bags I want for the price of a single down bag, and cleaning, dampness etc are far less of a worry!
So the questions:
1. Of the Nanok Synthetic range and the Mountain Equipment range, can you recommend a 3 season good for a guy or girl sleeping comfortably down to, say, -2 celsius, with the option of zipping the two together to make a couple-double bag....
2. And can you recommend from the same range a bag that would see me comfy on Estonian winter camping jaunts (-10 to -15 celsius, snow and ice etc?) This would be for me only so this winter bag needs no double zipping, just warm and comfy.
