Which hat
Now that the titanium spice rack has been fitted, the next big question is which hat for when off the bike.
I was sold the TT 35L hat but I just couldn't get on with it:
I was thinking about something durable, waterproof and for bikers but all that kept coming up was this (not from TT yet):
I even looked to famous biking legends for inspiration:
But I am yet to find that elusive perfect biking hat. Anything foldable looks a bit wimpy and limp, and anything sturdier wants to catch the wind when lashed to the bike.
There must be a better solution?

Rabbit or Wool felt hats are pretty waterproof (ish), keep the sun off and some can be rolled up and stufed in a pocket. I have one a bit like this Packable Felt Hat -- Orvis UK
Although it's about 15 years old so looks much better than a new one.

tilley and white rock
I got the Tilley airflow LTM5 for summer and the White rock leather bush hat for cooler days.
Both fantastic hats even if they do make look like a tit when I am wearing them!!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
