Get Mexican visa at the border?
Wife is Korean and will enter the U.S. on a tourist visa. From there, we will ride down to Mexico and travel on to South America. Can we get visas for Mexico at the border? The visa requirement dated 2005 says Korean nat'ls can enter without a visa, but then continues in the next paragraph to say everyone must have a visa and these must be obtained through the Mexican consulate. Another site says visas are issued at the borders. Which is it? when I went down in '63, all I needed was a driver's license. things change.

I checked on the net and if she is from South Korea she can do all the paperwork at the border. If she is from North Korea she will have to do the paperwork at a Mex consul and it will take at least a week. If you plan on coming through Mex City send me a PM and we can arrange to show you around and put you up.

Thank you kindly Garry. We could not go through Mexico without seeing Mexico City, now could we. Besides the smog, there are a lot of historic ruins there, as well as some great tourist attractions. We are tourists and the object of any trip is to see, experience and enjoy. Some souls go to see how many miles in a day they can make. Other people travel to conquer obstacles. We are traveling to see the world. After the number of years teaching and retirement just around the corner I know that worrying about correcting papers is at an end. The fulfillment of the dream of seeing the world is close. Thanks for your offer and when we get down to three weeks away I will drop you a line.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
