Shit! Sorry to hear about that, just read it in ADV as well. I hope he is ok over all and recovers soon. Do you know if he was on the meeting in Cambria some weeks ago? On a KTM?
I will donate!

>Rider Down! Justin Seriously Injured.
We crossed into El Salvador two days ago and were on our way to see an acquaintance at his bar. As we were passing through an intersection, Justin was hit by truck. We got him to a hospital and paid off the cops to keep him from getting in trouble.

Strange ?????

Recovering in Hospital
An update on Justin, we are with him in hospital helping with the recovery. justins parents arrived today, and will begin the process of finding out how to get him home to oregon. We have the bike stored at another ADV riders place here in El Salvador and could use some advice on how to ship it home.
Thanks to everyone for their donations, it is really heart warming to see the support! A huge thanks to El Cavo (Bryce) for handling everything on scene and at the hospital. Chris thanks for your posts, we hope to see you in Nicuragua in 10 days or so.

Strange
Hi user "pbekkerh" I would like to clear up your confusion as you have made some assumptions such as "strange".
Justin is a passionate motorcycle rider and has met many people on this trip. Including 15 other riders that where on the mazatlan ferry. We are all trying to help him out from different locations. All of us are spread out some in Nicuragua, others in colombia. The posts you quoted are from two different riders. One that was on scene at the accident and another friend that is in Nicuragua.
There is nothing strange about this, a fellow motorcyclist was injured and everyone is there to help. Two nights ago we had 5 fellow adv riders all at the hospital to support Justin. If you were in the same shoes I think you would expect the same. Keep your insensitivties to your self.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
