Announcement: Ecoflow Mini Wifi Review (portable battery & Solargenerator)

I received a belated Christmas present from myself, an Ecoflow River Mini Wifi. I hereby announce a small Review - but I still need some time for it.

If you have any test scenarios, just let me know here in the forum, via PM, or directly via blog.

Key data
210 WH battery
Charging via power socket (300W), solar (MPPT 100W), cigarette lighter (100W)
220v sine wave inverter (300/600)
100w USB-C port
12v cigarette lighter with 12a
Various USB connections
Control on the unit directly and/or APP

The first impression is quite passable in terms of performance, but it's already foreseeable that not everything is quite as rounded as it was with the big River Pro from the crowdfunding campaign in 2020.

But: the thing is small, light, handy - and the key data (including USB-C with 100W) should be sufficient for travel purposes. I'm curious! The bigger River Pro was still too powerful, so I try again a downsizing for weight/space inside of my rig.

It looks a bit big for bike use - or is that just the photograph? I've had a few smaller, less well specced, (usually around the 20k size) that I've used for bike trips, and very handy they are. We end up taking so much battery powered electronic stuff with us these days that just become 'junk' if you can't charge them that 'range extenders' like batteries have become essential.

It's the balance between capacity and size that's the issue for bike use - plus, how long it takes to charge them when you do find a power source. The 20k size one I have at the moment takes forever to recharge - longer than just a one night stop in a hotel - so I suspect its done its last bike trip. I need to get another one for this summer's ventures that charges faster. Your one looks like it would - does it have a smaller bike sized sibling?

Wait....Is that a hairdrier? And/or a little vacuum cleaner?

FWIW, I don't carry any of the accessories in your photo (which I take to include also a smartwatch, a shaver, and either a speaker or an air purifier), whether traveling on four wheels or two. My suggestions for testing, therefore, would involve carting that thing around for a while in the absence of all the paraphernalia, to see if it's of any practical use.

In the meantime, I do carry cables and adapters which allow easy charging of anything I please using bike or car battery.

Because of that - I ask here for stuff what you like to see on my review/test.

A water kettle, a hair dryer or a blender, a vacuum cleaner - that is the simpliest way to get a high power drain on 220v.

With charging my satellite messenger, drone, notebook all together - the power usage is less. And we want to see how capable the device is.

A year ago I really get asked to try to run a water kettle on the ecoflow river pro. So I`m really open for new test cases

I test the device as lightweight and small alternative to the "ecoflow river pro" who acts in my travel vehicle as my 2nd battery / solargwenerator: runs my compressor fridge, waterpump, drone, notebook, smartphones, satellite messenger since over a year. Charging mostly with Solar or 12v cigarette lighter plug.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
