We have to look at Social Media "Business" as a real Business opportunity today.. Where some people are able to outperform the income of a normal job even as attorney or doctor easily.

Not just social media, too with egames you can earn a lot of cash.

An Account like Eva is able to optain 120k Euro monthly.

WOW. Thanks ever so much to everyone who took the time to reply. I think perhaps, I didn't explain myself very well. Despite my reference to youtube, I do not have a target audience. Indeed, I merely wish to have a record of my trip other than poor-quality photographs. I'm not really that bothered about having a camera attached to the bike. It's more about filming my surroundings and the people that I meet. However, I will read again the great replies from you all as I have been given a number of different options, Thanks again, everyone.

You can buy any kind of camera or whatever equipement that meets your imagination of not poor quality. What cannot buy is a photographic or filmic eye and creativity which avoids poor boring quality in the end.

The difference between Itchey Boots or Ed March or other youtubing travellers and you will be your creativity to make your "boring scenes" interesting for your audience to watch.

These Youtubers are creating an income for their traveling and living and they have to show every piece of shit on the road as the hottest and thrilling thing for their (mostly) armchair traveling followers to feed the ads cash cow by click numbers.

What you want is your personal documentary and so you should act in your filming. Forget every kind of pro or semi pro aspect of filming and do what you want.
But remember one thing for sure:
afterwards will know much better what you have done wrong in your view. Any by knowing this you should practise and practise filming as much as you can before you start your trip.

my iPhone 7 takes care of my photos and short films by its self it makes short videos on its own I think its called trips or travels just swipe left and the trips appear I personally like Relive app because in Colombia you are aways traveling with great altitude changes unbelievable curves that dont exist on North American roads on short distances, Alto de Letras, - is the king of climbs

To add another opinion to what has already been said:

When going over footage from previous trips, I have found that the most valuable footage is where we have been speaking directly to the camera. This way, you get a diary entry style that is filled with details that you will probably have forgotten by the time you come to editing the videos together. If you take the time to speak to the camera, then the story tells itself and rest of the editing becomes very easy to slot in other clips you may want to take.

This can be a tricky habit to get into (especially when other people are around), but for me it does make a huge difference. And most of the time this style of footage only requires holding our arms out and talking to your mobile phone, so it is very easy to organise. But a small tripod can also come in useful for times that you want to keep the footage steady.

”Insta360 one x2” is a 360 degree camera. It is arguably the best and simplest 360 camera to use, and simplest to edit. If I only was to bring one camera, this would be it. The greatest benefit is that you don't have to think about aiming or missing that perfect shot (which can be difficult while riding).bIt captured everything, and everything happens in editing.

If I was to bring a second or even third or fourth camera, these would all be GoPros - one of which would have a mediamount for recording sound (add mics, i.e. inside the helmet.

One key point for going for great videos is that you need great sound, in fact, it is even more important than the quality of the video footage.

A lavalier mic to your phone is one way to go, but i like having my phone free for other things. A separate sound recorder is another way to go (also with a lavalier). An even better idea is to get the mediamount for the GoPro and whatever microphones you need.

But...this benefit turns fast into a disadvantage if start editing and you zoom into your footage. 2 Lenses (made of glass btw and easy breakable if you drop the camera) of 180 degrees which record with the total of 5,7K!
Means if you zoom in by editing you will really fast detect that your footage isn`t sharp enough anymore. Because its 5,7K devided by 2 Lenses = 2,85K and the magnification factor you want!

Ok, if you want to feed social media it works but if you bring your video to a 4K TV it is getting disappointing. Also what I noticed is that the sound recording is very hollow. Which I don`t understand because the X2 has got 4 mics. For a good and acceptable sound you definetly need external wireless mics.

It`s a cool camera with benefits but for my personal appraoch of filming I would never use it alone. I would need another action cam, better 2 of them and as a gimick for some shots to include in my video the X2.
