Frank Thomas x-terrain jacket review
I got the woman jacket but I have no reason to believe it is any different from the men ones.
Good points: good fit, totally waterproof. Generous Velcro neck so you can add plenty of layers and still close the neck. Was tested for a three week tour round Europe, where we had torrential rain. It remained watertight.
It has plenty of vents, however is too heavy and hot, despite the vents, for hot climate. Ideal for winter spring or autumn but not recommended for warmer climate as you will melt!
Plenty of waterproof pockets. I did not use the thermal lining so no comment on that.
Bad points: not much to say. Not for hot countries, or above 25 degree Celsius.
Velcro in the neck tended to get caught in my Arai helmet strap, slowing damaging it. Something I need to fix.
Back protector is a cheap piece of foams nd has to be replaced, but this is often the case with jackets.
Overall very good.
